Interim Preaching Team

During our time of transition here at Heartlands Church, we have put together a team of four people to serve as our “Interim Preaching Team” as we look for a new lead minister.

This team includes, Terry Seufferlein, Justus Coppinger, Brett Sales, and Jared Stark.

Please be praying for God to guide us as we continue to search for a new lead minister!

SEth Walker — youth Minister

Seth is a compassionate, loving, funny, and goofy human that fights for the underdog. Seth hopes to empower others that aren’t always given a fair shot at life. He loves dogs, being active, LeBron, the Titans, and Raising Canes. Seth and his wife Corrie have a son, Ezekiel that they love very much, and a dog Topaz that provides entertainment for them on a daily basis.

Mandy Bolton — Kids Minister

Mandy's caring and generous heart propels her to find a way to serve in any environment. She is motivated by a deep love for Jesus and is passionate about finding creative and relational ways to share that love with others. Her attention to detail paired with her fun-loving spirit ensure she is always finding new ways to show people they are loved, valued, and that they can use their gifts to serve as well.

Justus Coppinger — Worship Minister

Justus is passionate about music, service, and inspiring others. He loves thinking of new and creative ways to encourage authentic worship and community. He has a strong desire to teach and enable others to lead and serve by using their gifts and talents. Justus and his wife Kelsey enjoy traveling, creating, and building strong friendships.

Jason Nabb — Shepherd

Jason and his wife, Cindy, have 8 children from adult to elementary school.  They have a heart for foster care and adoption.  Currently, Jason is a content creator for Back to the Bible.  He desires for men in the church to stand together and share the love of Christ by leading with compassion, embracing everyone who seeks refuge in the church.  The community of Lincoln has been their home since before marriage.  The whole family loves music and is involved in various music groups, including worship at Heartlands.  He is also currently a graduate student in Strategic Communications and Digital Strategy at the University of Oklahoma.

“The Gospel of Jesus is for everyone…and that means anyone.”  -- Caleb Kaltenbach

Ave Pickering — Shepherd

Ave and his wife Linda have four children and ten grandchildren. You’ll find them spending their weekends in their cabin on the river or camping in the mountains. Ave truly has a shepherds heart - he loves Jesus and he loves people well. Ave has been a shepherd at Heartlands for a number of years and him and his wife Linda have blessed countless lives.

Kim Phelps — Shepherd

Kim is a thinker who values people and wants to create an environment where Jesus-centered relationships can flourish! He loves time with his grandchildren, plays a mean piano, and is energized by outdoor activities. Kim loves that the local church can be an authentic place for people to connect, and his heart is full when Christ’s love is in action. He desires greatly to serve the body of Christ and share in people’s highs and lows as he helps people know Jesus. Kim and his wife Becky have 4 children, 4 granddaughters and 3 grandsons!

Mark Giessemann — Shepherd

Mark grew up on a small farm and moved to Nebraska to pursue graduate degrees in swine nutrition. He has worked as a swine nutritionist for nearly thirty years. He has been a longstanding member of Heartlands and has blessed many people through the years with his encouraging words, intentionality, and his giftedness to share God’s Word. In his spare time, Mark gardens and spends time with his wife Ann and three adult daughters and their families.
